This past weekend my parents, Grant and I were able to go watch Mark race. Yes, my honey is a race car driver!! Did I mention how extremely cute it is?? My mom was extremely nice and stayed back at the hotel with Grant, so that my dad and I could go enjoy the races.
Saturday morning we made sure we were up and ready! We had to be at the racing track at 7:00 AM!?! After a slow service at a restaurant and one freeway closure, my dad and I finally made it! This was my dad's first time watching racing and it was my first time watching Mark. We watched about 20 cars, and then it was Mark's turn... He did his burn-out and with a flash it was over! My dad was so excited that Mark had crossed the finish-line first!! It took Mark and his dad explaining that he had gone to fast and lost the race. It didn't bother me; I was just so excited to watch and share that day with him! My dad had a great time there. He has been talking about it for two days now, and I think he may even go again!!
About the wedding!!! I met with my bishop last night and signed the application for the temple sealing cancellation (it has been in the works for 2 1/2 months?!?!) I should have my interview with President Gibson by the end of the week and then my packet is off to Salt Lake City! Mark and I are really hoping that it goes through quick; we would like to be married March 7, 2009. Everything is starting to come together and I am so excited about it!!

Fast Lane Moments
I guess there is no better time to start blogging! Looking back on the past year, I am amazed at how quickly everything changed. The last part of May I decided to join ldssingles.com to just see "who" was out there. A day or so after joining a guy started talking to me. "Gearhead" was just some guy who talked to me every time I got on at night... Within a days I found myself giving him my undivided attention!
On July 18, 2008 we decided it was time to finally meet in person. Cautiously, I met him at a store, but only to be surprised by his dashing smile and good looks! I was quickly smitten with Mark Maroney!! For the next month he found every excuse to travel up to see me... So I am guessing, he has never confirmed that!
At the end of August, he went camping with me and my family. He put up with me for 4 days!! And at the end, he told me he loved me! On October 18, 2008 Mark asked me to be his wife and I happily accepted! We are hopefully going to be married in March of 2009.
This has been a trying year. It has had its ups and downs, but I am truly gratefull for the growth and strength I have had. I am so excited to become the "Future Mrs. Mark Maroney"!! I'll keep you posted!!
