Ever...Who???

Ok… so I feel old. About a month ago, I was on my way home from work, when I hear an advertisement for Everclear. That night I mentioned it to Mark, and like a sweety, he bought tickets the next day. My mom was extremely nice and came down Saturday morning to watch Grant, so we could go.
Mark had to work until 4 on Saturday, so I just met him at his parents house. I was sitting with his sisters talking, who are 19 and 29, and we were talking about the band. I felt SO old, because they didn’t really know who the band was, and this was one of my favorite bands in high school. Anyhow, we left and got to the place about an hour early. While we were standing in line, a woman from the venue came up to us and asked if it was just the two of us… Which she asked if we would like to meet Everclear… We were like, sure. Bonus number 1!!

Once we got into the auditorium, we noticed the same lady standing in front of the stage. We walked closer to her, and she asked this other couple if the seats next to them were taken, and they said no. So she sat us there… Which were front row seats!!! Bonus number 2!!

Everclear was a lot of fun to see! I have only been to two other concerts. Blues travelers, yeah not so much fun (just ask Megan) and the Boston Pops, with Adam and Wayne, which was a total blast, but in a different way.
I loved being out on a real date with my hubby again!! We had a lot so much fun!! Mark even caught a guitar pick from the guy, bonus number 3!! All and all, we were home and in bed by 10:30… Yeah, we’re getting old!!! I LOVE YOU MARK, THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT!!!

The stork is getting ready!!

Ok, so I thought I would do a really quick post... For those who have not heard from facebook... myspace... or a 3rd party. Mark and I went in on Monday to see the little bambino. I would have to say that I was extremely disappointed with the entire visit. They told me to drink LOTS of water (which I secretly could NOT hold... But it ended up being enough, hurray!!) Then they told me to "check in" at 3:30, with a 4 o'clock appointment. Mark works just down the street, and we just figured he would meet me there at 3:45. As soon as I walked into the office, I just had this nervous feeling. Sure enough, around 3:35, they call me back to start the ultra-sound. I was going to freak out on them!! I quickly called Mark, who was in the middle of a test drive, and was panicking that he would not make it there at all!! The woman who did the ultra-sound was very friendly. And about 10 minutes later, my husband arrived!! She put the heart beat back on, so he could hear it. The ultra-sound machine was really poor, and the image was not that great. It was still great that Mark could see the baby. BUT the baby was sitting in a position that the tech could not see what the sex was. Mark wanted to find out (even though I knew what it was), so she made me move positions twice, to try and get the baby to move. Finally, she said, "I can't confirm this, but it looks like a GIRL." Now, it's not 100% positive; if it's a boy, his little man parts may not have come down... Which I HIGHLY doubt, because the woman who did my ultra-sound with Grant knew within moments that he was going to be a boy. They didn't give me any images, so I'm very disappointed over all. Although, Mark and I are very excited to be welcoming a new baby girl into our family in November!!

Funny Funny BOY!!

I know I have said this many MANY times before, but Grant is growing up to fast!! I think it amazes me, because I don't see it happen all at one time. Him growing up has been suttle, but fast. If that makes sense. He changes, and learns each day. So here is my "baby" Grant. Mark and I have to make sure we don't leave the salt on the table because...
Yep, he is a Bingham!!! He LOVES salt!!!
Grant is beginning to show signs how freakin' smart he is!! He will repeat A, B & C with me. He says it all cute too! Except the really funny part happened two days ago. I was getting him ready to go to Grandma Maroney's, and I had taken his diaper off. He, like always, ran away from me. I got up and went after him. I found him in the kitchen peeing... into Mark's brand new work boot!! I laughed SO hard. That night, Grant took his own diaper off, and was running around the kitchen. He hadn't peed on anything, BUT he was trying really hard!! He now knows where it comes out, and has started really hard to "push" it out.

The kicker came when I heard out screen door open, without Mark or I opening it. I came out to find Grant had grabbed the mop and hit the handle to open it!! The picture below is one of his attempts to escape. I have to be really careful with him now, because he is figuring out ways around his "little" age.
So I am not sure what made me decide to give Grant Jello... Little alone cherry jello, but I did. There are a MILLION and one reasons NOT to give a 21 months old staining red jello, but I came up with two on why he should...

He loves jello and...

how can you argue with a smile like that!!!
